The total fisheries area of Yen Bai is 22,000 ha of water surface, including 3,000 ha for aquaculture with 858 fish cages mostly in Yen Binh and Tran Yen districts.
In the future, the province will continue to encourage local residents to protect marine resource and to stock fish juveniles to reproduce aquatic resource in Thac Ba Lake.
