Tien Giang Department of Trade and Industry said the exports increased because local exporters could self-supply 40-60% of the raw materials needed for processing; even 100% for some big companies like Hung Vuong Corporation. Besides, they actively opened up new markets like Russia, Brazil and Africa while upholding traditional markets.
In the 2nd quarter as well as the rest of the year, the Department of Trade and Industry will continue to provide local exporters necessary information on the markets, facilitate trade promotion initiatives, implement pilot projects on accelerating export and issue of certificates of origin.
