It was the statement made by Mr. Huynh An Trung, Deputy Director of Cholimex in the meeting with HCMC’s People’s Committee on April 18.
At first, hi-tech vannamei prawns will be experimentally stocked on 1.2 ha. Then, the company will transfer the farming technology to farmers in Can Gio.
Cholimex was granted the license to raise the prawn by the Directorate of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Institute of Information and Business Research (IIB) will assess Cholimex’s hi-tech vannamei prawn farming technology against other shrimp farming models.
Mr. Dinh The Hien, Director of IIB said this technology will save money because it is able to treat water and disease without using chemical.
