Da Nang People’s Committee has promoted insurance policies applicable for fishing vessels of over 50HP and installed integrated HF transceivers (VX 1700) in offshore fishing boats of over 90 HP.
In the first 3 months, the number of vessels landed at Tho Quang port increased 20% against the comparable month. The goods flowed through the port also climbed by 36%.
The vessel owners feel more secured as the wholesale market and wharf system when Tho Quang port are put into operation.
The construction of the third wharf at Tho Quang port is going to be finished. Upon its operation, the fishing port can receive more vessels, especially in the coming Southern fishing season.
