Favorable weather conditions and high price of marine fish encouraged fisher to go fishing, thus increasing capture production early in the year.
Fishers in the province continued to score bumper harvest of achovy this year, i.e. 20-30 MT per night on average. Those in Ly Son island district could capture 3-4MT of spined anchovy per night. Beside Ly Son, 200 vessels from various communes such as Tinh Ky (Son Tinh), Binh Chau (Binh Son), Pho An, Pho Quang (Duc Pho), Nghia An, Nghia Phu (Tu Nghia) also went fishing anchovy.
