In February alone , the commodity achieved value of US$148.4 million, marking sky-rocket export growth rate of 75% over the same period last year. In the month, Pangasius exports to all major markets grew significantly, for example EU 32.8%, the US 138.4%, Mexico 147.1% and Hongkong 158.5%.
However, total export value of the first two months to EU in general was 10.9% lower compared to the same period last year, due to imports of some main consuming markets in EU were continuously in downward trend, for example to Netherlands, Germany and Poland.
