On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the iplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Denmark, a Danish trade delegation led by Danish Crown Prince of Denmark had come to Viet Nam. During the five day visit, the delegation had a meeting with the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors VASEP) in Ho Chi Minh City. The two sides decided to establish the Viet Nam - Denmark Aquaculture Technology Transfer Centre VIDATEC) to boost the transfer of new technologies rom Denmark to Viet Nam.
According to Mr. Jacob Bregnballe, Chairman of AquaCircle, both sides also committed to boost trade romotion especially in the field of green development, fficient energy usage and environmentally friendly roduction.
Mr. Truong Dinh Hoe, VASEP Secretary General, aid Vietnamese fish farmers are in need of and ready to pply advanced technologies in food production and food security. VIDATEC is expected to play a important role in establishing a long term an sustainable cooperation among seafood enterprises, an laying a roadmap for the sector’s development. Its firs and foremost goal is to develop the Pangasius industr in a greener and more sustainable manner.
