    Eu gives clean bill of health to exporters

    The Director General for Health and Consumer Protection at the European Commission has added 13 Viet Nam’s seafood export processors to a list of enterprises licensed to trade with the EU. These enterprises are ANPRO; Seaprodex Haiphong; Quang Vinh Trading - Transportation One-Member Co.,Ltd; Dong Hai Seafood; GN Foods; TD Co., Ltd; Hai Wang Seafood Co., Ltd; Dong A Seafood Co; PDCL; Minh Phu Seafood Corp., Ltd; Quoc Toan PTE; Dai Dai Thanh Seafoods; HHFISH.  

    Newly-licensed producers have been permitted to export their products to the EU since November 21, said Tran Bich Nga, deputy head of the National Agro Forestry Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD).

    Viet Nam currently has 392 seafood processors licensed to export to the EU, including the new firms, Nga confirmed.

    So far, the EU has been one the largest markets for Vietnamese seafood products, accounting for 22 per cent of the total export value.
