The list includes 14 seafood enterprises, namely CP Viet Nam Corporation, Cargill Viet Nam, Minh Phu Seafood Corp, Hung Vuong Corporation, Vinh Hoan Corp, Minh Quy Seafood Corp, AFIEX, Viet Thang Feed Join Stock company, Quoc Viet Co., Agifish, Utxico, Anvifish, Stapimex. There enterprises are also VASEP’s members.
Besides the list of the top 500 biggest Vietnamese enterprises of all economic sectors, Viet Nam Report also ranked the top 500 biggest private enterprises. There are 35 seafood firms in the second list, who are also VASEP’s members. Many have high rankings such as Minh Phu Seafood Corp, Hung Vuong Corporation, Vinh Hoan Corporation, Minh Quy Seafood Corp.
To be included in the VNR500, the companies, either State-owned or private, must have revenue from VND1.5 trillion up. The VNR500 private list constitutes of the firms with private ownership accounting for 51% or more and revenue equal to or greater than VND 600 billion are eligble for the second list.
