Lotte Mart is operating two retail stores in Viet Nam. The giant Korean retailer also looks to increase the presence of Viet Nam’s goods at its supermarket chain in South Korea.
Lotte Shopping Group representative said that during a trade conference with Viet Nam enterprises held by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) late September.
Vietnam specialties such as sauce, rice, seafood, tropical fruits and fast food (jackfruit chips, dried fruits, biscuits), and soft drink can be exported to South Korea. Korean consumers like them, said Mr. Pyong Gyu Hong - General Director of Lotte Mart, Viet Nam branch.
Shrimps, especially the whole black tiger sized 10- 15 pieces per kilogram, however, are the most sought- after item for the time being, said the representative.
Lotte, which is one of the modern distribution systems of South Korea and Asia, owns 203 trade center in 4 countries, including 2 centers in Vietnam, 92 in South Korea, 85 in China and 24 in Indonesia.
