While the epidemic outbreak led to a severe shortage of shrimp in the Mekong Delta, especially the province of Soc Trang, Clean Seafood VN still managed to assure adequate supply of raw materials.
The company is said to self-supply 70% of its raw material demand since four members in its executive board own a total 1,000ha of shrimp farming area. These executives are specialists in shrimp farming, as a result, their farms were not much affected by the disease outbreak.
Besides, Clean Seafood VN also has very close relationships with farmers and producers at the locality.
Its turnover is expected to reach US$40-50 million this year and US$60 million next year.
The company mainly produces value added products, 80% of which is from whiteleg shrimp, 20% from black tiger shrimp. Its largest market is Japan (60%). The company is now eyeing EU and the US.
