According to Dong Thap’s department of agriculture and rural development, this year to date, Pangasius output has exceeded 314,480MT, equivalent to 104.83% of the year’s target.
Dong Thap has the largest Pangasius farming area in the Mekong Delta. It is expected Pangasius production will increase by 30,000MT against the year’s target, and export value might exceed US$390 million.
In Jan-Oct, local exporters earned more than US$332 million from Pangasius export, an increase of US$12 million against the year’s target.
