    Exquisite seafood products displayed in Vietfish 2011

    Vietfish 2011, was splendid as a performance stage with many new and unique products from prestigious processors, who made use of the whole year gap between the exhibitions on product diversification and value addition.

    Minh Phu: Processed shrimp for Japanese market
    Hot & Spicy Shrimp
    Minh Phu did not fail to live up to its position as the largest shrimp exporter of Viet Nam during the exhibition. Its booth was extremely eye-catching with a wide range of shrimp products beautifully exhibited in the display case. In addition to the traditional products, which are particularly well-known in US and Japanese markets, Minh Phu also introduced many new, ready-to-eat items prepared in Japanese style. They are Hot & Spicy Shrimp, Tatsutaage, Cheery Shrimp Pop, Ebi Katsu, citronella breaded shrimp. These products are still in their trial production to sound out the Japanese customers’ respond but the company has already received some small orders.
     
     
     
     
    Quoc Viet: Marinated shrimp products
    Marinated Wet Garlic Shrimp
     “Apart from high-graded shrimp products such as Nobashi, EZ-peel, PDTO and breaded shrimp, Quoc Viet also offered a new series called Marinated Black Tiger Shrimp, including Marinated Garlic, Marinated Lemon, Marinated Red Thai, and Marinated Mexican. They are mainly processed from shrimp 21/23 count”, told Deputy General Director Ngo Quoc Viet.
    These products are particularly appeal to Australian and European buyers and Quoc Viet has recently shipped a big volume of these items.
     
     
     

    SEAPRODEX Hanoi: Ready-to-eat octopus

    Nguyen Xuan Hang, Director of Xuan Thuy Processing and Exporting Factory (SEAPRODEX HANOI) said the company had traveled a long distance to bring their numerous best-selling products from vannamei, black tiger shrimp and marine fishes to the exhibition. At present, they have two ranges of unique and high value products from squid, i.e. ready- to-eat product such as sushi dane, sushi sugata; and whole clean squid fillet. These products are sold mainly to Japan. There were also IQF clam (IQF) and whole clam (vacuumed package) consumed locally and exported to Japan. At present, the enterprise is supplying clam products to Noi Bai Catering Service Joint Stock Company (NASCO) for serving on international flights.
     
     
     
    Binh An: Breaded fish served locally

    Binh An is a big Pangasius exporter but it also focus on domestic market. In the Vietfish 2011, the company presented its new products of breaded Pangasius and Collagen drink. The former is packed in colorful and small-size retail paper box that has same style as those in developed countries. Now, this product is put on sales in local supermarkets.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    Hai Nam: Ready-to-eat marine fish
    Sea fishes from Binh Thuan
    Hai Nam is famous for its dried seafood, grape seaweed, and swallow nest. This year, the customers are even more impressed with their demonstration of many kinds of marine fish from Binh Thuan sea such as grouper, tuna, mahi-mahi, red snapper, and swordfish.
    The company also has many ready-to-cook marine fish to offer such as fillet, cubes, sticks, steak and loin. These items are mainly shipped to Japanese, EU, Korean, and the US. In peak season, the company can export 30-40 containers/month.
     
     
     
     
     
    Thanh Ha: prepared fish sauce
    Prepared vegeterian fish sauce in small bottles
    Thanh Ha is the only fish sauce company showcased at Vietfish 2011. Its products are plentiful, bringing unforgettable taste to customers. In this fair, Thanh Ha introduced some new prepared fish sauces which already contain lemon, garlic and chili. These products are quite convenient (packed in the small bottle) and available in Big C and Corp Mart supermarket chains as well as the stores in big cities.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    Thaimex and half shell scallop
    Frozen half-shelf scallop
    From Phan Thiet, the coastal province rich in seafood, Thaimex introduced their specialties such as dried skinless squid, half-dried broad squid,  mackerel, silver sillago and various shellfish. However, the most impressive one is half shell scallop. The product is offered in small quantity at rather high price with clients mainly coming from Asian countries like Singapore.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    Quang Minh Seafood: Pangasius by-products
    Pangasius fin and swim bladder
    Many people outside the sector may be surprised to hear that  Pangasius fin, swim bladder, and skin are offered as food. Quang Minh Seafood produced these products from the leftover of  Pangasius fillet. The company said they attracted many Chinese customers. Despite a small volume of Pangasius by-products, the company can still ship 1-2 containers/month.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    An Chau: Export marine fish

    An Chau specializes in processing and exporting a variety of frozen seafood from farmed, marine fish to crab and swimming crab. This year, the company added to the exhibiting list many kinds of high- value fishes such as round grouper, red grouper, queen snapper, seabream and mackerel.
    An Chau’s raw fishes are caught from waters of Kien Giang, Vung Tau and Nha Trang. The products are mainly exported to Australia, US, Singapore,

    Frozen Pangasius Fillet with Seasoning
    As usual, Hung Ca mainly exports raw Pangasius fillet,  Pangasius block,  Pangasius stick and  Pangasius cube. In this show, Hung Ca presented a new product called Frozen  Pangasius Fillet with Seasoning. The company has exported a big volume of this product to European, US and Asian markets.
